Tuesday 6th October

Tinkerbell, Bugs and Geez met at mine for a blast up the hill. Took them around a few side streets and then headed up Broadoaks as an alternative route to the top of Huntsbury. A good steady grunt which helped clear my lungs. Coughing and spluttering all the way. Good climb though. At the last we steep section before the off road we past a little kid who was pushing his bike so we gave some motivation and he rode up the last bit with us. Onto the stinky shingle bit and then up we went to the top. The wind in our face and cool. Straight into the traverse we went watching for sun strike. In your face for the first section it was and poor visibility. The next section was better until we went into the trees at the top of Vic Park. Instant darkness which caused me to slow very quick until my eyes adjusted. Down through the trees and into Sesame Street. We then went down the road to Sandals to give her some motivational support cos her shoulder is not healing. We think that she should ride regardless and worry about the injury later now. Lotsa painkillers will help. The riding will not make it worse only hurt and some pain is pleasurable after all. We then blasted down the hill and stomped the pedals in top gear all the way home just for fun. Great ride and feeling good.
