Sunday 11th October

The last ride before the big PFMTBC trip. Also the last Trees for Canterbury planting for the year so off to that we rode. Bugs arrived at mine for a 8am departure. We headed around the river onto Radley and then down past the Linwood Crematorium. Phatboy rung and we arranged to meet at New Brighton Bridge. We continued to ride and picked up Geez at the Metro Station. Down Dyers and then onto Bridge St. We hooked into the single track around the rivers edge and blasted to Brighton. Phatboy had just arrived which was good timing so through the park, down some alleys and then past Broad Park. Rode the beach track and then hooked into some single track. Blasted through here and single tracked back to the Park HQ. Good blast. Phatboy hung in there all the way. Had a stop at the Horseshoe lake carpark (Tinkerbell hooked up here) before riding the track to the planting. Helped plant 2000 trees. Geez departed for a ride with his Bro. The rest of us headed down Gayhurst, dropping 1st Tinkerbell then Phatboy at different points leaving just the original 2 on the last blast back to home. In the evening we met at Sandals for the final adjustment for travelling arrangements. A good evening although Sandals is not looking good for the trip due to her shoulder. Fingers are crossed that she will hit some of the tracks at least.
